Lenora Gay Wilburn, 78, of Bethlehem Hill Rd., Peora, passed away 8:35am, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her residence. She was born October 20, 1936 at Webster Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Floyd and Flossy McCourt Payne. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wilburn, whom she married July 26, 1957, two sons, Terry Wilburn, Charles “Fuzz” Wilburn and his companion Terry Ginger, all of Peora, three grandchildren, Heather Bargo, Fairmont, Billy Joe Payne, Braxton County, Charles Richard Wilburn, FL, three sisters, Cordell Ramsey, FL, Erma Hamrick, SC, Elsie Clutter, OH, and one brother, Harland Payne, OH. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Ann Payne, four brothers, and one sister. Lenora worked as a dietician at the Fairmont General Hospital with 31 ½ years service. She was a member of the American Legion Post #31, Ladies Auxillary, Shinnston. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Wednesday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday with Pastor Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Wyatt.
