Jennifer Ruffing

Hudson Falls Jennifer M. Ruffing (Saladin), 42, passed away on, December 9th, 2014, at Glens Falls Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Glens Falls, she is the wife of Thomas J Ruffing of Hudson Falls, and the daughter of the Raymond and Carole Saladin of Fort Edward. Jennifer is survived by her daughter Natasha and step daughter Breanna; her brother, David Saladin and his wife Kimberly and son Thomas, she is also survived by her Aunt Phyllis Smith and Aunt Beverly Wanmer and her husband Dave, their families as well as nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends. Also recognizing three friends that have been with Jennifer and her family; Katie Weaver, Jo Ellen Deluca, and Sandy Burnett, whom spent many hours with Jennifer during the last days of her life, In addition She is pre deceased by her Maternal and Paternal Grandparents and her Uncle, Jack Smith. Jennifer was employed by Glens Falls Hospital as a Patient Experience Representative since 2008 and prior by Finch Pruyn as the first female Security Guard and then as an administrative assistant with Woodlands. Jennifer was aIso a Communicant and Lector at St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Jennifer’s family would also like to acknowledge the Oncology, Tower 2, Chaplains office and the ICU staff as well as all of Jennifer’s friends and extended family at Glens Falls Hospital. Jennifer was a loving and caring woman, whom always put everyone else before herself. Her family and friends were her life, and she strived to be there for them. Jennifer fought to the end, never giving up; her will came from the desire to be here for her daughter. Jennifer will be known for her smile, the light in her eyes, and her humor, even in the worst of times. No matter how she felt she put on a smile and cheered you up. My love, Forever and Always, Cletus will make sure the humor lives on. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 12, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at M.B. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Edward.
