Cindy Higgins, 69, of Weston, passed away at 3:00pm, Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston. She was born in Clarksburg, September 9, 1945 a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Eliza Jane Overton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Claude Higgins, November 20, 2011. Surviving are one son, Archie Ray Higgins, at home, three daughters, Ruth Ann Stewart, at home, Genive Ellen Lattea and her husband Terrance, Jackson’s Mill, Sandra Ellen Higgins, Buckhannon, five grandchildren, Jerry Lee Stewart, Jimmy Dean Stewart, Kevin Claude Higgins and his wife Charlotte, Terry Lynn Lattea, and Mary Jane Richards, two great-grandchildren, Luke and Logan Higgins, her mother-in-law, Ruth Ellen Higgins, Weston, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having also been preceded in death by one infant daughter, Linda Higgins, one sister, Mary Jane Overton, two brothers, Chester and Clyde Overton, and her father-in-law, Ray Higgins. Cindy was a homemaker. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm, Wednesday, December 10.
