Jeanette Ball

Mrs. Jeanette Bandy Ball, age 66, of Connelly Springs, North Carolina, passed away Monday (December 1, 2014) in a Asheville, North Carolina hospital. Born December 5, 1947 Bandy, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William Ferrell and Lillian Russell Bandy. She attended Richlands High Scholl and received her Associate’s Degree from Catawba Vaney Community College with honors in 2012. She was owner and operator of S&W in Bandy for ten years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Ann Harrison and one brother, William Jerry Bandy. Survivors include her husband of eighteen years, Lloyd Ball of the home; one son, Bryan Phillip Hankins and wife, Shanna of Connelly Springs, North Carolina; one daughter, Melanie Jo Beveridge of Boston, Massachusetts; three granddaughters, Savanna DeLenn Hankins who resided with her Nana in Connelly Springs, Amethyst Jade Beveridge and Miria Jewell Beveridge both of Boston; five sisters, Joan Hamden and husband, Gary of Athens, West Virginia, Rita Brooks and husband, Scott of Hickory, North Carolina, Sharon Nicholson and husband, Thomas of Acosta, PA, Linda Kay Yost and husband, Allen of Tazewell, and Susan Majchrowicz and husband, Michael of St. Cloud, Minnesota; one brother, Joe Bandy and wife, Susie of Statesville, North Carolina; eighteen nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Andrew Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Travis Bandy, Michael Majchrowicz, Gary Hamden, Mickey Hale, Lester Ball, Gary Ball, Robbie Lowe, Jason Harrison, and Tom Nicholson. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM with Rev. Giles Ball officiating.
