Rosetta Wilkins, 119 Masters Street, Erwin, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in the Franklin Woods Hospital, Johnson City, after losing an earthly battle with cancer, but won the ultimate victory through her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Reverend Burnie and Judy Poore Arrowood. Mrs. Wilkins had previously been employed by Murray Guard Security at Nuclear Fuel System for sixteen years. She was a charter member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church of Erwin. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie Lee Arrowood, Mack Arrowood, Jr. and O. B. Arrowood. Mrs. Wilkins leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-eight years, William "Bill" Wilkins; one son, Paul Wilkins of Erwin; two grandsons, Joshua Paul Wilkins of Marianna, FL and Jonathan Wilkins of Erwin; two nieces and several nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Southside Freewill Baptist Church prior to the 8:00 P. M. service. Reverend Kevin Laws and Reverend Charlie Trivette will officiate. Music will be provided by the church choir. Scott Bradford will serve as honorary pallbearer. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Wilkins, Clyde Griffith, Maurice Robinson, Darren Higgins, Gary Phillips, and Patrick Bennett. Committal service will be held Sunday at 1:00 P. M. in the Evergreen Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 P. M. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
