Helen Pearl Snyder Felton, 82, died, Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal, VA. Mrs. Felton was born June 7, 1932 in Arbovale, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Roy D. and Fannie P. Hollen Snyder. She graduated from Green Bank High School, Green Bank, WV. She attended Glenville College in West Virginia and later moved to northern Virginia where she met and married the late Charles H. Felton on November 14, 1952. She worked at the Pentagon as a secretary for the Air Force. She retired on disability due to health issues at a young age. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Horace Felton; step-sons, Charles H. Felton, Jr. and Rolland A. Felton; sisters, Mollie J. Sheets, Mae V. Gillispie¸ Jessie R. Smith, Anna Lee Bailey, Deloris I. Pepoon; and brothers, Lowell B. Snyder, Kerth W. Snyder, Robert D. Snyder and Neil H. Snyder. Survivors include her daughter, Debra H. Talley and husband, Ron of Middletown, VA; step-son, L. Edward Felton and his wife, Lena of Ritchie, Maryland; sisters; Eleanor J. Locke of Herndon, VA, and Doris I. Radcliff of Sterling, VA; a grandson Jesse L. Milhon of Winchester, VA, step-grandsons; L. Eddie Felton, Jr., Charles H. Felton III, Rolland A. Felton II, Jason M. Felton; step-granddaughters, Yvonne Sudduth, Christy Felton Jones, Laurie Bruton, Tina Maske, Inez Felton Agrippa, Jayleen Felton, June Felton Johnnyboy, and Princy Felton Cantero and numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, great-great grand children and great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Felton loved doing cross word puzzles, reading, playing cards (Pinochle & Canasta), gardening and sewing. She also loved to play tennis and was on a bowling league in her younger years. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., December 5, 2014, at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, VA, with Susan O’Kelly, Blue Ridge Hospice Chaplain will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
