Kenneth M. Jacobs, 53, beloved husband of Dawn (Houghton) Jacobs, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 16, 2014. He was born in Manchester on April 22, 1961 son of the late Maxwell and Shirley (Hoffner) Jacobs. He was a lifelong tried and true Red Sox fan. He was a dedicated employee of Big Y for many years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and easy going nature. His true joy was spending time with his family. He was a man of very few words with a big heart, gentle kindness, and subtle sense of humor. In addition to his loving wife, he leaves behind his three children, Brian Kenneth, Alexa Cheyne, and Hayley Noelle {Jacobs} all of Coventry; his sisters, Eileen Sweeney and her husband Wayne of Manchester, Rita Jacobs of Westerly, RI, Susan Bassford of New Jersey, Karen Irish and her husband Edward of Bolton; his brother, Michael Jacobs and his wife Lori of Cape Coral, FL; his aunt, Sister Rita Clare Hoffner; many beloved nieces and nephews, wonderful in-laws and his special Big Y family. Our family would like to thank the staff at the St. Francis Cancer Center for their care, support, and kindness. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life at 6:30 PM, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:15 PM, on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Patriots Park Community Center, 120 Lake St. Coventry, CT 06238.
