The sun set for Lois J. Shifflett Conz, 72, of Hummelstown, on Thursday, November 13, 2014, in her home surrounded by her loving family. The sun rose on January 5, 1942 in Hershey; she was the daughter of Edward W. and Mary Ellen Frazier Shifflett. Lois was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family. She was a 1960 graduate of Hershey High School. She was a member of Stoverdale United Methodist Church, Derry Township. She enjoyed watching sports, shopping, decorating, and craft shows; but Lois especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Lois is survived by her loving husband, Charles M. “Mac” Conz, whom she married in 1961; two sons, Michael C. Conz husband of Lisa K. and Scott A. Conz; two sisters, Janet L. Shuey wife of Glenn A. and Linda M. Whitmoyer wife of George S. Whitmoyer, Jr.; and seven grandchildren, Jared M. Conz, Zachary R. Wagner, Kolton P. Conz, Bryanna S. Flaherty, Tyler L. Gutshall, Bradley M. Conz, and Matthew A. Conz. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by an infant son Kevin E. Conz. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17, 2014, at 2 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor JoAnn M. Darrow, officiating. Interment will be in Hummelstown Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received at the viewing Monday in the funeral home from 1 PM until time of the services.
