Michael Patrick Ashworth, 45, of Winchester, VA died Monday, November 10, 2014. Michael was born on September 29, 1969 in Huntington, WV, the son of Carl Norman Ashworth and Linda Lou Sullivan Ashworth. He served with the US Air Force for twelve years and most recently worked for the US Department of Interior. He married Rebecca Ashworth on April 3, 1998 in Brevard County, FL. Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Brendan Cole Gutmeir, Kourtni Shae Welzel, Kaylie J’Nae Gutmeir and Amanda Lynn Ashworth and three grandchildren. Michael will be desperately missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved him. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Winchester with Pastor Greg Wigfield officiating.
