Beulah Mae Faubert

FAUBERT, Beulah Mae -

Our loving mother, Beulah Mae Faubert passed away November 11, 2014 at The Village of Tansley Woods, surrounded by her family and friends. Beulah was born in 1927 in Chatham; the farming heartland of Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard Faubert, her parents, Georgina and Gilbert St. Denis and her dear brother, Jack. Beulah was introduced to Bernard, whom she deeply fell in love with, and married after the Second World War; settling in the town of Chatham. She was a loving and dedicated mother who enjoyed raising her four son's Bob, John, Dave and Rick. She enjoyed spending time with her four daughter’s in-law Theresa, Lynne, Phyllis and Camille. Beulah was also a wonderful and patient grandmother who was deeply interested in the lives of Samantha, Bryan, Kelly, Curtis, Ken, Ray, and Adam and great grandmother to Jack, Avery and Stephen. Beulah and Bernard were like a pair of shoes, a perfect match. They enjoyed the special gift of being able to celebrate over 64 years of marriage together. Beulah is fondly remembered by neighbours and family for her outstanding chocolate chip cookies. It was mentioned by many that Beulah’s cookies were nothing less than decadent and were consumed by everyone in short order. She really was the June Cleaver of Rexdale. Unfortunately, due to the untimely passing of Bernard, Beulah found herself alone for the first time at the age of 84. Despite this she continued with her passions including travelling to Chatham, trips to the cottage and enjoyed spending time with her family. Due to changes in her health, Beulah decided to move to The Village of Tansley Woods Long Term Care in Burlington. During her stay at Tansley Woods, she found it easy to meet her new neighbours, especially an incredible lady, Sharon Bertram, who became her best friend. She also participated in all the social activities and was a favourite of the nursing staff. Everyone enjoyed her quick wit and easy going charm. Beulah will truly be missed by all of her family and her friends. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (North of Rexdale Blvd.), on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2pm-4pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Benedict Church, 2194 Kipling Avenue, Toronto. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to the Staff at Tansley Woods in Burlington for the loving care given to Beulah and the wonderful support extended to her family.
