Mr. Nicholas Wayne Belcher, age 34, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away Monday (November 10, 2014) at his home. Born October 16, 1980 in Lebanon, Virginia, he was a son of Larry and Loretta Yates Belcher of the New Garden section of Honaker, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1998 graduate of Honaker High School and had received his Bachelors’ Degree from Old Dominion University. He was currently employed by the Russell County School System as an IT Specialist. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ballard Belcher. In addition to his parents, survivors include one sister, Kayla Fees and husband, Cyrus of Jonesborough, Tennessee; one niece, Kennedy Fees; one nephew, Edison Fees; paternal grandmother, Rosemary Belcher of Honaker; maternal grandparents, Howard and Irene Yates of Honaker; Close friends, Janeen Gibson, Chase Ritchie, and Carrie Goss; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends also survive. Celebration of life services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday at the Family’s Cabin on the River. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 5:00 PM Thursday.
